Business Manager: Arbury, PEUGEOT in Nuneaton

What do you do?

I’m the Business Manager at PEUGEOT, Nuneaton – I help the Sales team by managing the finance and insurance products we offer. I control and manage the administration of the Finance and Insurance department, maximise profit in the Sales department, assist the Sales Manager with his duties, and run the department.

Tell us about your journey with Arbury.

I joined Arbury in 2005 at Arbury Citroën as a Service Advisor, and then moved to Arbury Citroën as a Sales Executive two years later. Three years on, I had a brief opportunity as a Sales Manager at Arbury Citroën and Suzuki in Leamington Spa. I then moved to Arbury in Lichfield as a Sales Executive, working alongside Garry Beardmore, who originally employed me as Service Advisor at Citroën. I had a very successful career and was eventually given the role of Business Manager there in 2014. Two years later, I requested a transfer closer to home at Peugeot in Nuneaton, and in 2016 I started my role as Business Manager at Arbury Peugeot in Nuneaton under Phillip Titchmarsh. I won Business Manager of the Year three years in a row, which was a massive personal achievement for me!

In 2019, I returned to Arbury in Lichfield for a successful stint as Sales Manager but, due to family commitments and having two young boys, I decided to make the move back at Arbury in Nuneaton to be closer to home. I won Business Manager of the Year again in my first year back!

What made you join Arbury?

I needed a job and a fresh start, and got the interview through a recruitment agency. I didn’t have a clue about Arbury or what my job was going to require of me but, with direction from the managers, I’ve worked and quickly understood my roles and executed them to the best of my abilities.

What are your future goals within Arbury?

To progress up the management ladder and continue my long and successful career within the Group.

What do you love about working at Arbury?

I love the fact that I’ve been here for nearly two decades and have witnessed the company going from strength to strength. I also feel at home when I’m at work.

Sum up working at Arbury in one word.

HOME (cheesy, I know, but that is what it’s like for me).
