Scott Stenning

Director and Dealer Principal, PEUGEOT & Nissan, Bromsgrove and Arbury Leasing

What’s your role within the business?

My responsibilities as a Director and Dealer Principal for Arbury in Bromsgrove are to plan, organise, motivate and empower, while ensuring the financial objectives of the business are met and exceeded. These responsibilities are underpinned by our two key objectives, which are customer satisfaction and staff satisfaction. We have a strong, friendly and welcoming culture, embodied by our ‘Team Arbury’ slogan. My management team and our overall team are absolutely fundamental in allowing us to meet these objectives.

How long have you worked here?

Since 2004.

Tell us about your journey with Arbury.

My journey and roles within the Arbury Group have been fairly diverse! I first started working for Arbury in 2004 as a Valeter at our Leamington Spa branch, before spending 12 months travelling Australia. I then rejoined the Group at the end of 2006, where I took on a Marketing Manager role for the business while also completing my degree in Automotive Dealership Management at Loughborough University part-time.

In 2010, after graduating from Loughborough University, I was promoted to a Fleet Sales Manager position to set up our Group Fleet Department. Then, in 2015, I was promoted to my first Dealer Principal role at Arbury in Walsall, before moving to run our Bromsgrove dealership – where I’ve been based since 2019. I became a Director of the company at the beginning of 2020.

What do you love about working here?

Our people! We’re a tight-knit team and we have a great culture across our businesses. Our team does an incredible job of looking after our customers and also each other, while also striving to reach our business objectives.

What’s your biggest accomplishment?

Working closely as a Senior Management team to ensure that our business successfully navigated its way through the global pandemic. The decisions we took were underpinned by a desire to do the right thing for our people.

What are you most passionate about professionally? Personally?

Professionally, it would be ensuring that we provide the right environment for our team to succeed and best look after our customers.

Personally, I’m most passionate about my wife (Jen) and two children (Seb and Georgia). I also have a real passion for sport, in particular cricket, golf and football (COYS)!

Sum up working at Arbury in one word.

Family.
