See the dazzling Peugeot RCZ in a new light

Published on 16 April, 2010 by Arbury.

Peugeot’s sublime RCZ has already won plaudits for its graceful curves and stunning silhouette.

And now the 2+2 sports coupé can be seen in even more glorious detail as light artist Michael Bosanko creates ephemeral outlines around the car in an exclusive new video.

Using torches and flashlights, Michael traces the outline of the RCZ, swooping over the unique double-bubble roof, LED ruby-red rear lights and dual chrome exhaust. The video, which is available to watch on the Peugeot website, also shows the end result of Michael’s work – a stunning portrait of the RCZ bathed in a swirl of light.

Michael, who creates original artwork for a number of clients, began light sculpting seven years ago. He uses a variety of light sources including penlights, cigarette lighters and
household torches.

He said: “Everything I create is done freestyle. I find the process organic, mesmerising, magical…I like the idea of creating a picture and then when you go away it’s like it never ever existed. It’s ethereal.”

The RCZ – voted the most beautiful car of the year 2009 at the 25th International Automobile Festival – launches this Spring. Combining stunning design with sublime performance, the RCZ is the first car in Peugeot’s range to feature the restyled Lion badge.
