The Future of Motoring
The Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4 is the world's first diesel-electric hybrid, and it offers four-wheel drive capability in a vehicle that emits just 99 g/km CO2 and returns 74 mpg. There are four driving modes – ZEV, Four-Wheel-Drive, Sport and Auto – that you switch between by turning a dash-mounted rotary dial. Each setting delivers a different driving style to enable you to fine-tune your experience.
The 3008 HYbrid4 is powered by a 163hp diesel engine that drives the front wheels and a 37hp electric motor that powers the rears – giving a total of up to 200 bhp. It’s a fresh take on hybrid technology, and the car’s electric motor boosts fuel economy by a third. The 3008 HYbrid4 delivers extremely low emissions, too – just 99g/km of CO2. No other production car offers so much power for so little CO2 output.
The ground-breaking 3008 HYbrid4 has won its first award, Diesel Car Magazine’s ‘Best Eco Car of 2011’, a full five months before it goes on sale in the UK. Ian Robertson, editor of Diesel Car Magazine, said: "The 3008 is one of the very best crossovers, and as a diesel-electric hybrid it’s an ace combination. The 3008 HYbrid4 is a green-friendly model for the real world that can be refuelled within minutes, not hours."
