It is often remarked when concept cars are unveiled that their bold and daring design will never make it to the street. The Citroën DS5 is built to break that mould, and features stunning design from front to rear. Sweeping character lines, long chrome 'ticks' running back from the headlamps, the aggressive front fascia - it's all intended to make the DS5 a standout example of modern design.
The interior is also crafted to amaze. Inspired by aircraft cockpits, the cabin features overhead switches, a full wraparound dashboard and aeronautical-style square instrumentation. Switchgear all has a chunky, satisfying feel, and there's a huge panoramic glass roof to let plenty of light in.
The ride height is equivalent to a crossover, so a commanding view of the road is yours from the driver's seat, but the taught suspension and mechanical grip available from the low-profile tyres deliver a sharp driving experience more akin to a smaller car.
