Our History

2000

Cathedral Motor Company Ltd was formed in 2000 by several members from Evans Halshaw. The first dealership was Arbury Service Station in Bulkington, forming the trading name of Arbury.

2000

The company grew within a short period with the addition of our Lichfield site adding a second Peugeot franchise which also included the Groups Accident repair centre.

2004

After years of searching to add the right company to our portfolio, a successful purchase of Dennis Cooper Cars was completed, adding our third Peugeot franchise making us one of the largest privately owned Peugeot Groups in the Midlands.

2004

In December of 2004 our expansion continued with the addition of our first Citroen dealership on Weddington Rd in Nuneaton.

2007

Growth continued with the purchase of Goodfellows in Aldridge Walsall a significant site of 2.5 acres representing Peugeot and Citroen.

2007

Citroen Approved repairer status was added to our successful Birmingham road dealership in Lichfield

2008

Growth continued with the acqusition of the Sydenham Road dealership adding a further representation area for both Citroen and Suzuki.

2008

Fiat was added to our site at Aldridge Walsall in a purpose developed showroom.

2008

Skoda appointed for Leamington Spa

Today the company represents five significant motor manufacturers at six different locations employing over 150 people and selling in excess of 5000 vehicles each year.

Whilst the growth of Arbury has been rapid, one thing has not changed over the years is that Arbury is still focussed on providing our customers good service at good value.
