Whatever your essential journey, make it SAFE

Now that many children are able to return to school as lockdown restrictions are gradually eased, you may need to swap your essential home-schooling for essential car journeys again.

Whatever your essential journey, make it SAFE

While it’s still only sensible to head out when you need to, getting back in the driver’s seat after your vehicle has been out of regular use could mean that you experience problems with some of the main safety features.

With more and more traffic on the roads, here at #TeamArbury we want everyone to be fully prepared for more regular trips out again without any unforeseen surprises. Whatever your essential journey, make it SAFE, and keep on top of your car health today by carrying out these four basic pre-drive checks:

Service or health check if needed

Air in tyres

Fill up screenwash

Examine lights and tyre tread

These basic checks can help you confidently get back on the road, safely, smoothly and legally. Doing a visual check of items such as tyres, screenwash and lights could also help avoid some of the common faults found during an MOT test.

If you’re in any doubt about carrying out these checks yourself, or feel you don’t have the time to do so, we highly recommend that you book in at your local Arbury dealership for a health check or early service – after all, having a professional technician check over your vehicle will mean that you know for certain that it’s safe, secure and fully roadworthy. Our workshops are likely to be quieter in April and May, so plan ahead and secure the appointment of your choice.

Did you have an MOT exemption last year? If so, you also might consider getting an early MOT test if you wish to go back to your original MOT date.

#TeamArbury are here to support you in adapting to life after lockdown, so let’s work together to make this challenging time easier for everyone – wherever and whenever you need to drive, let’s make it as SAFE as possible.
