Hello yellow! The tech-updated 2024 Nissan Juke still marches to its own beat

Nissan is driven by their DNA to “Dare to do what other’s don’t”  – and we think it’s only fitting they’ve kicked off their tenth decade by announcing a new version of the iconic Juke! So, what’s new for the 2024 model?

Hello yellow! The tech-updated 2024 Nissan Juke still marches to its own beat

No model epitomises Nissan’s gusto for pushing the boundaries of innovation than the Juke. A firm favourite among customers, this swaggering SUV is bursting with personality and was one of the UK’s best selling cars in 2023.

Nissan have just announced a new version of this playful British-built model, featuring a vibrant yellow paint option, refreshed interior and enhanced in-car technology.

This (predominantly internal) facelift is aiming to keep the model ahead of the curve in its competition segment. It’s currently in production at Nissan’s Sunderland Plant, alongside the Qashqai. Price details have yet to be released but we have lots of exciting information to digest in the meantime!

A splash of colour

Known for its funky exterior, the Juke is anything but mellow. For the latest model, Nissan have developed a new yellow paint finish, which is reminiscent of the yellow of the first generation – albeit slightly paler. Nissan believes the colour will give the new model ‘an extra bang’. Indeed, they’ve dabbled with this side of the paint palette a few times before, including the recent Kiiro special edition.

Not feeling the zest? There’s 24 colour combo options in total, including new Pearl White and Pearl Black shades. What’s more, the new N-Sport trim level adds a splash of black to the Juke’s exterior, from the wing mirrors to the grille, wheels, wheel arches and the roof.

A new cabin

Adding to the mid-life refresh is the reimagined cabin, including a redesigned centre console and instrument panel, to enhance the on-board ambience.

N-Sport cars get a boomerang-shaped yellow highlight that frames the infotainment panel – matching the yellow paint option. This comes together with yellow stitching and a new quilted pattern for the seats.

But perhaps the most noticeable update is the redesigned dashboard, with its new 12.3-inch central touchscreen (that grows from 8 inches) featuring revised menus aimed at making it more intuitive to use.

Additionally, the infotainment will enjoy improved voice recognition, natural language understanding capability and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Power to you

Under the bonnet, you’ll find an unchanged powertrain line-up, equipped with two powertrain options. The electrified option is Juke Hybrid – now available from Acenta Premium spec (previously N-Connecta upwards) – which consists of a Nissan internal combustion engine specifically developed for working in a hybrid powertrain application.

The non-electrified engine option is an efficient 1.0-litre three-cylinder DIG-T turbocharged petrol engine, which produces 114PS and 180Nm of torque (200Nm with over torque function). Available with an engaging six-speed manual or sporty seven-speed dual-clutch (DCT) paddle-shift transmission, and a driving mode selector (Eco, Standard, Sport), you can effortlessly match your driving style to any driving scenario for maximum fun on the road.
