The New PEUGEOT 208 and e-208 have been updated with a fresh design and new technologies to impress both inside and out. Additionally, fully electric and hybrid powertrains have now been added to the line-up, giving drivers a truly comprehensive offering.

The launch of the New 208 follows the model’s impressive title earned in 2022, when it was named as the overall best-selling car in Europe. The new irresistible sporty look and enhanced digital PEUGEOT i-Cockpit ensure ultimate driving pleasure – and here at Team Arbury, we wouldn’t be surprised to see it on top-seller lists again this year!

What’s more, the new fully electric e-208 has also been updated, offering a range of 248 miles, with new HYBRID 100 and HYBRID 136 engines and a latest-gen infotainment system. This follows the e-208’s 2022 achievement of becoming Europe's best-selling electric car in the B segment.

Our aim was to take the design and performance of the 208 to a higher level while preserving the soul of this model in order to remain at the top of B-segment sales in Europe. The new 208 is more 208 than ever: more feline, more fun to drive, more technological, and all-in-all, more irresistible.”

Impressive line-up

Three trim levels are available for the New 208 and e-208 models: ACTIVE, ALLURE and GT. As standard, all trim variants have a 10-inch central touchscreen and front and rear light signatures. The ALLURE trim adds rear parking assistance, electrically folding door mirrors and PEUGEOT i-Connect technology.

The top-level GT trim also features a HD reversing parking camera, PEUGEOT Open & Go keyless entry and start, eight-colour customisable interior ambient lighting and full LED headlights.

Petrol and electric power for ultimate performance

The 208 is available with two efficient PEUGEOT petrol engines: the PureTech 75 with a five-speed manual gearbox and the PureTech 100 with a six-speed manual gearbox. And for the first time, there are now also two new 48v hybrid powertrains for drivers to choose from. The HYBRID 100 and HYBRID 136 powertrains feature a battery that recharges while driving, meaning there’s 15% lower fuel consumption and the possibility to drive in 100% zero-emission electric mode more than 50% of the time.

The e-208, meanwhile, has a new 115kW electric motor and 51kWh battery that combined can achieve up to 248 miles between charges. Adding to that, it’s also claimed that a 20–80% charge is estimated to take under 25 minutes when using a 100kW rapid charger.

Personalise your PEUGEOT exterior

The New 208 has had a subtle design refresh, giving the distinctive design customers are already familiar with a more modern edge. The exterior now boasts a new PEUGEOT front light signature – three long vertical lights claws on the outer edges of the bumper – the new PEUGEOT logo badge sitting in the middle of the two-tone black and body colour front grille and redesigned rear light signatures of three horizontal red lines around the boot lid edge.

Why not make the 208 your own? Choose from seven available body colours: Agueda Yellow, Selenium Grey, Cumulus Grey, Nera Black, Bianca White, Elixir Red and Vertigo Blue. And that’s not the only customisable option on the 208, which also offers brand new alloys – 16-inch ‘NOMA’ diamond-cut two-tone wheels and 17-inch ‘YANAKA’ diamond-cut two-tone wheels – depending on trim level.

Comfortable and connected with PEUGEOT’s i-Cockpit

Inside, new fabrics and stitching create a quiet ambience, setting the perfect scene for comfortable seating and a variety of new tech introduced in the 208. At the heart of the cabin is PEUGEOT’s i-Cockpit, a more advanced and ergonomic system to ensure maximum driving pleasure for all those who get behind the wheel of a 208.

A compact steering wheel sits at the heart of the i-Cockpit, with audio volume, voice control and telephone controls. At eye level, drivers can view the 10-inch digital instrument panel which displays all key info without distracting from the road. In the centre console, a 10-inch touchscreen offers information, entertainment and navigation features thanks to PEUGEOT i-Connect, which is now more advanced than ever thanks to TomTom navigation and natural voice recognition.

Safety at the centre

Last but not least, a range of driver assistance and safety features help to keep both drivers and passengers safe at all times. In the 208 and e-208, these include:
