Be seamlessly in sync with the new-look PEUGEOT panoramic i-Cockpit

Summer is here, and drivers across the UK will be planning their escapes to the coast or their favourite camping spot. Wherever you’re travelling, you’ll no doubt use your car’s infotainment system to stay connected to the world around you, keep your passengers entertained and reach your staycation spot with ease.

Here at #TeamArbury, we’re always looking to bring you the latest releases. We were therefore delighted to see the reveal of the latest PEUGEOT panoramic i-Cockpit. Here’s everything you need to know…

10 years of innovation

Set to make its entrance on the new PEUGEOT 3008, the next-generation PEUGEOT i-Cockpit celebrates 10 years of i-Cockpit, with almost 10 million units having been sold so far.

The latest release continues this tradition of innovation, with a curved 21-inch high-definition panoramic touchscreen floating above the dashboard, which incorporates the head-up display and central touchscreen.

There’s also a new compact steering wheel and touch-sensitive i-Toggles. And the futuristic appeal of the system is enhanced by the customisable ambient lighting, which extends across the entire width of the dashboard and door panels.

Bringing it all together

The new design combines the raised head-up display and a large central touchscreen in a curved panoramic screen, made up of a single 21-inch high-definition panel. The screen is attached by an invisible rear mount to create a 'floating' effect, which is heightened by the LED mood lighting.

The screen is positioned for optimum ergonomics – making your life easier! It combines the instrument cluster and the touchscreen, with the instrument cluster displaying key driving information above steering wheel, such as speed, power, driving aids and energy flow. The central touchscreen section controls the heating/air con, navigation, media and connectivity, and can be used by the driver and passenger. No fighting over the music, now!

Look to the central part of the dashboard to find the i-Toggles. These fully customisable touch-sensitive buttons that can be programmed with 10 presets to provide quick access to your favourite functions, such as calling a favourite contact, setting the ideal air-con temperature, directing to daily destination or even tuning the radio to a favourite station.

Last but not least, the compact steering wheel has been a firm favourite with i-Cockpit users, and it’s been extensively reworked to offer an even greater driving feel and comfort and a more modern look. The revamped central cushion is smaller and isolated from the spokes to give a levitating effect similar to the panoramic screen.
