The introduction of a new SEAT Leon, the traditional flagship model, has kept anticipation for the brand high, and for good reason; the new Leon will come packed with cutting-edge technology as well as a revamped look and new engines.
The outside of the Leon has been kept as close to its iconic style as possible, receiving only a fine-tuning of details to keep the design fresh and modern. SEAT design director, Alejandro Mesonero Romanos, explains: ‘The Leon is a very attractive model and it isn’t necessary to change its image, only reinforce it and refresh it.’
A plethora of new driver assistance systems will be available inside the Leon, including Traffic Jam Assist, Lane Assist and ACC. These allow the car to manoeuvre, accelerate and brake automatically while stuck in traffic, as well as giving drivers a warning when the car drifts out of lanes while driving.
More intelligent systems include Traffic Sign Recognition, Blind Spot Detection and even parking assist technology for truly effortless driving. The inside of the car offers next-level connectivity, using the Easy Connect infotainment system, coupled with SEAT’s Full Link and ConnectApp, which make use of voice and gesture controls to keep you connected while you focus on the road.
Five trim levels will be available, including the new XCELLENCE at the top of the range. Luxurious upholstery and a complete premium feel will accompany this option, along with chrome details on the front grille and rear LED indicators.
The engine offerings ensure that there will be the perfect option for every driver, with power ranging from a 1.6-litre 90PS TDI engine to a 2.0-litre 184PS TDI choice. The current SEAT Leon is available at your local Arbury SEAT dealer today.
